I used to be one of those girls who dreamed of dating a pilot. I mean, come on, what’s not to love? They’re always jetting off to new and exciting places, they get to fly cool planes and they just seem so…glamorous. But then I actually dated a pilot and I quickly learned that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Here are just a few reasons why I’ll never date a pilot again:
1. The constant travel can be really tough on a relationship.
Pilots are always flying to new places and it can be really tough to keep up with them. I felt like I was always chasing after my pilot boyfriend, trying to catch up with him as he jetted off to another city. It was exhausting and it really took a toll on our relationship.
2. They’re always working.
Pilots have very demanding jobs and they’re often working long hours. I felt like I never saw my boyfriend when we were dating because he was always working. And when he was home, he was usually too exhausted to do anything but sleep.
3. They’re away from home a lot.
Because of their job, pilots are often away from home for days or even weeks at a time. I really missed my boyfriend when he was away and it was tough not being able to see him as much as I wanted.
4. They have to deal with a lot of stress.
Pilots have a lot of responsibility and they have to deal with a lot of stress. I worried about my boyfriend every time he went to fly and I knew that it was taking a toll on him.
5. The lifestyle can be really tough.
The lifestyle of a pilot can be really tough. They’re always on the go and they have to deal with a lot of stress. It’s not an easy life and I don’t think I could handle it.
Overall, I just don’t think that dating a pilot is for me. It’s a tough lifestyle and it’s just not something that I’m interested in.
