The One Thing You Should Never Do In A Job Interview

When it comes to job interviews, there is one thing you should never do: badmouth your former employer. This is a huge no-no and will almost certainly guarantee that you will not get the job.

When you are asked about why you left your last job, always take the high road and avoid saying anything negative about your former employer. Instead, focus on the positive aspects of the new opportunity.

Badmouthing your former employer reflects poorly on you and makes you seem like a difficult employee who is likely to do the same thing to your new employer. It also makes you appear unprofessional and immature.

If you are asked about a specific situation where you were unhappy with your former employer, try to frame it in a positive light. For example, you might say something like, “I was looking for a new challenge and this opportunity presented itself.”

Remember, the goal of a job interview is to sell yourself as the best candidate for the job. badmouthing your former employer will not help you achieve that goal.
