In recent years, the world has seen an alarming trend in the mysterious disappearances of some of the world’s brightest minds. Between the years 2000 and 2020, reports of disappearances have been on the rise and many of the world’s leading investigators and forensic experts have been unable to explain the phenomenon.
The cases of these missing geniuses range from the relatively unknown to some of the world’s most renowned individuals. In a few cases, authorities were able to locate the missing persons, however in most cases, the disappearances remain a mystery.
One of the most famous cases of a genius’ disappearance is that of the renowned scientist, mathematician and inventor Nikola Tesla. Tesla was well known for his revolutionary contributions to the fields of science and technology, but on January 9th, 1943 he suddenly vanished from his laboratory in New York City. He was never seen or heard from again and the cause of his disappearance remains a mystery to this day.
Another mysterious case of disappearance involves theoretical physicist and Nobel laureate Stephen Hawking. Hawking disappeared in March of 2018 after announcing his plans to complete research on a proposed unified field theory. His disappearance caused a great stir in the scientific community, as well as the general public, and a global search was launched in an attempt to locate him. Despite the efforts of authorities, Hawking remains missing to this day.

Without them, society is unable to benefit from the potential advancements and discoveries they would have made. It is a tragic loss and one that we can only hope to one day solve.
