The Fattest Cat in the World Weighs in at 40 Pounds!

In November 2015, a cat named “Beezus” from Long Beach, California, was officially recognized as the world’s heaviest cat by Guinness World Records. Beezus weighed in at 40 pounds (18.1 kg), beating the previous record holder, “Himmy”, by 2 pounds (0.9 kg).

Beezus’ owner, Ruth Adams, said that the cat’s weight is due to a thyroid condition, and that he is on a special diet.

Despite his size, Beezus is a healthy cat and enjoys playing and cuddling with his owner.

While Beezus may be the world’s heaviest cat, he is not the only one of his size. There are several other cats that weigh over 30 pounds (13.6 kg), including “Archie” from Australia, who weighs 37 pounds (16.8 kg), and “Sugar” from the United Kingdom, who weighs 32 pounds (14.5 kg).

The heaviest cat on record was “Himmy”, a tabby from Cairns, Australia, who weighed 46 pounds (20.8 kg). Himmy died in 1987 at the age of 10.

While Beezus is currently the world’s heaviest cat, it is possible that he will be surpassed by another cat in the future. However, he will always be remembered as the fattest cat in the world!
