I was eight years old when my cat, Snickers, ate my homework. It was a math assignment that I had worked hard on and was proud of. I remember putting it in my backpack, and the next thing I know, Snickers had gotten into it and shredded it to pieces. I was so upset. My mom tried to console me, but I was inconsolable. I couldn’t believe my cat had eaten my homework.
It was the first time I had ever experienced true disappointment. I had always been a good student, and getting good grades came easily to me. But this time, I had failed. And it was all because my cat ate my homework.
I didn’t want to blame Snickers, but I couldn’t help it. I was mad at her for days. I would give her the silent treatment, and she would just look at me with those big, innocent eyes. I knew she didn’t mean to do it, but I couldn’t help but feel like she had betrayed me.
Eventually, I forgave her. I realized that it wasn’t her fault, and that she was just being a cat. I also realized that this wasn’t the end of the world. I could still get good grades, even if my cat ate my homework once in a while.
Since that fateful day, Snickers has eaten my homework on several occasions. It’s become a running joke in our family. But I don’t mind anymore. I know that she’s just being a cat, and that she didn’t do it to spite me.
So, if you’re ever feeling down because your cat ate your homework, just remember that it’s not the end of the world. You can still get good grades, even if your cat does have a taste for homework.
