The Benefits of Quitting Facebook

It’s been more than a year since I deactivated my Facebook account. In that time, I have not missed the site once. In fact, I feel much better without it. Here are some of the benefits I’ve experienced since quitting Facebook:

1. I’m More Productive

Without Facebook to tempt me, I’ve been able to get more work done. I no longer waste hours scrolling through my newsfeed or reading pointless articles.

2. I’m Less Stressed

I used to get stressed out by all the drama that would unfold on Facebook. But now that I’m not on the site, I don’t have to deal with any of that.

3. I’m More Informed

When I was on Facebook, I would only see news stories that my friends had shared. But now that I’m off the site, I take the time to read more informative news sources.

4. I’m More Connected to the People in My Life

Before I quit Facebook, I would only talk to my friends online. But now that I’ve left the site, I’ve been making more of an effort to connect with people in person.

5. I Have More Free Time

Without Facebook, I have more free time to do the things I love. I can read, exercise, or spend time with my family and friends.

In conclusion, there are many benefits to quitting Facebook. If you’re considering deactivating your account, I encourage you to do it. You might just find that you’re happier without the site.
