Scientists baffled by ‘ghost’ particle that travels faster than light

In September 2011, scientists at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) announced that they had observed a particle that appeared to be travelling faster than the speed of light. This discovery sent shockwaves through the scientific community, as the laws of physics state that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light.

Since then, the team of scientists have been working to try and explain the results, but as of yet, they have been unsuccessful. The particle, known as a neutrino, was observed travelling at a speed of around 60 nanoseconds faster than the speed of light.

This discovery has left scientists baffled, as it appears to contradict everything that we know about the laws of physics. The team of scientists are now working tirelessly to try and find an explanation for the results.

There are several theories that have been put forward to explain the results, but as of yet, none of them have been proven. One theory is that the neutrinos were travelling through a medium that was moving faster than the speed of light.

Another theory is that the neutrinos were travelling in a extra dimension, which would explain why they appeared to be travelling faster than the speed of light.

As of yet, there is no concrete explanation for the results, and scientists are still baffled by the ‘ghost’ particle that appears to be able to travel faster than the speed of light.
