It was a dark and stormy night. The power had been out for hours, and the only source of light came from the flickering television. The images on the screen were barely visible, but the sound was loud and clear. Suddenly, there was a loud crash. The television went black.
The man swore. He had been trying to fix the television for hours, and now it was broken beyond repair. He had been using a knife to try and fix the wiring, but it had only made things worse.
He knew that his wife would be angry when she found out. She had told him not to touch the television, but he had been sure that he could fix it. Now, it was clear that he had been wrong.
He sat in the dark for a few minutes, contemplating what to do. He could try to fix the television himself, but he knew that it was useless. Alternatively, he could go to the store and buy a new one. But that would be expensive, and he wasn’t sure if he could afford it.
Suddenly, he had an idea. He would go to the store and buy a new television, but he would tell his wife that he had fixed the old one. That way, she would be happy and he would save money.
He quickly got up and left the house. He drove to the store and bought the new television. Then, he drove home and placed the old television in the trash.
The next day, his wife asked him how the television was. He told her that it was working fine. She was pleased and thanked him for fixing it.
The man was relieved. He had gotten away with his plan, and everything was back to normal. But he knew that he had been lucky. If his wife had found out the truth, she would have been very angry.
So, the moral of the story is: don’t try to fix your television with a knife. It will only end in disaster.
