Man gets stuck in window trying to retrieve lost phone

A man in China got his head and shoulders wedged in a window while trying to retrieve his lost phone, according to reports.

The unnamed man, who is in his 30s, was walking along a street in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Monday when he dropped his handset, local media said.

In a desperate attempt to retrieve the device, he leaned through a window in a residential building but became stuck, the Nanning Daily reported.

Firefighters were called to the scene and used a crowbar to pry open the window, freeing the man after about 20 minutes.

It was not clear how the man lost his phone in the first place, or whether he was able to find it after the ordeal.

The incident comes just a week after another man in Nanning got his head stuck in a sink while trying to retrieve a dropped phone.

The 28-year-old, who was also not identified, was taking a selfie in a public bathroom when he dropped his handset down the drain, according to the Nanning Daily.

He leaned over the sink to try and grab the phone but became stuck, prompting a call to the fire service.

Rescuers had to partially dismantle the sink before freeing the man, who was unharmed.

Both men were reportedly given a warning by police.
