It’s been almost a decade since the Twilight Saga came to an end, and fans are still just as obsessed with the franchise as ever. And while there has been no shortage of theories about what really happened in the story, or what could happen next, one person who has remained tight-lipped about the whole thing is its author, Stephenie Meyer.

But now, in a shocking turn of events, Meyer has come forward to say that the entire Twilight Saga was just a story. In a statement released to The Associated Press, Meyer said:

“It is with a heavy heart that I come forward to say that the Twilight Saga was just a story. A work of fiction. I never intended for it to be anything more than that.”

Meyer went on to say that she is “truly sorry” for any pain or confusion that her words may have caused. “I know that there are people who have invested a lot of themselves in this story, and I sincerely apologize for any hurt or disappointment that my words may have caused,” she said.

This is a huge bombshell for the Twilight fandom, and is sure to send shockwaves through the community. For years, fans have been debating the validity of the Twilight Saga, with some believing that it is an accurate portrayal of vampire mythology, and others asserting that it is a work of fiction.

Now, it seems, the truth has finally been revealed. The Twilight Saga was just a story. A work of fiction. Nothing more.

  1. Well, this is certainly a twist! I always thought that the Twilight Saga was just a work of fiction, but I had no idea that Stephenie Meyer herself would come out and say so. This is sure to cause some controversy among the fandom, but it’s also refreshing to see an author be so honest about their work.

  2. Stephenie Meyer has finally come out and said what we all knew to be true: The Twilight Saga was just a story. A work of fiction. This is sure to send shockwaves through the fandom, and I for one am truly disappointed. I had always hoped that there was more to the story than meets the eye, but now it seems that those hopes have been dashed.

  3. Well, this is certainly a twist. I didn’t see this coming at all.

It’s interesting to hear Meyer say that she never intended for the Twilight Saga to be anything more than a work of fiction. This will no doubt cause some fans to reassess their interpretation of the story.

Of course, there are still plenty of people who believe that the Twilight Saga is based on real vampire mythology. So even though Meyer has come out and said that it is just a story, there are sure to be those who continue to debate the validity of the saga.

Either way, this is sure to be a hot topic of discussion among Twilight fans for years to come.
