I Tried To Give Up Social Media For A Month. Here’s What Happened.
I’ll be honest, I was pretty nervous going into this experiment. I’m very attached to my social media accounts and the thought of giving them up for a month was daunting. But, I was curious to see what would happen if I took a break from social media, so I decided to go for it.
The first few days were actually not too bad. I was busy with work and other things, so I didn’t really have time to think about social media. But as the days went on, I started to get a little bit antsy. I would find myself reaching for my phone when I had a free moment, only to remember that I wasn’t supposed to be on social media.
It was around this time that I started to feel a bit lonely. I realized how much I rely on social media to keep in touch with my friends and family. I also started to miss out on a lot of what was going on in their lives. I would see posts about events that I wasn’t invited to, or pictures of friends hanging out without me.
This experiment was definitely a eye-opener for me. It made me realize how much I rely on social media, and how it can sometimes make me feel lonely. I’m not sure if I would give it up permanently, but I’m definitely going to be more mindful about my social media use from now on.
