I Tried the ‘One Minute Rule’ and It Totally Transformed My Life

I’ve always been a procrastinator.

I’ll never forget the time when I was in college and had to write a 10-page research paper. I waited until the night before it was due to start writing, and ended up pulling an all-nighter to get it done.

Or the time I had to clean my entire apartment before my parents came to visit, and I waited until the day they were scheduled to arrive to start cleaning. (Needless to say, they were not impressed.)

I’ve always told myself that I work better under pressure, and that’s why I tend to procrastinate. But the truth is, I’ve just been too lazy to change my ways.

But recently, I decided enough was enough. I was sick of putting things off, and I wanted to find a way to get things done without all the stress.

That’s when I came across the “one minute rule.”

The one minute rule is simple: if there’s something you can do in one minute or less, do it right away.

For example, if you’re at home and you see that the kitchen counter needs to be wiped down, do it right then and there. Don’t wait until later or tell yourself you’ll do it when you have more time.

Or, if you’re at work and you get an email that needs a quick response, take care of it right away instead of letting it sit in your inbox.

The one minute rule is all about taking care of small tasks immediately, so that they don’t turn into bigger problems down the road.

I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first. I didn’t think the one minute rule would work for me, and I definitely didn’t think it would have such a profound impact on my life.

But I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did!

Since adopting the one minute rule, my life has totally transformed. I’m no longer a procrastinator, and I’m able to get things done without all the stress.

The one minute rule has helped me to be more productive, and it’s also helped to declutter my mind.

I no longer have a million things running through my head at all times, because I’ve learned to take care of small tasks immediately.

The one minute rule has also helped me to be more organized.

Before, I used to have a messy desk, and it would always take me forever to find things. But now that I’ve adopted the one minute rule, I make sure to put things away immediately after I use them.

My desk is now clean and organized, and I can find things quickly and easily.

Overall, the one minute rule has made a huge impact on my life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who struggles with procrastination.

If you’re looking for a way to get things done without all the stress, give the one minute rule a try. You might just be surprised by how much it can help!
