I Tried the new iPhone 12 and it was a big disappointment

It’s been almost two weeks since Apple unveiled the new iPhone 12 and I was finally able to get my hands on one. I have to say, I was really disappointed.

First of all, the design is pretty uninspired. It looks almost exactly like the iPhone 11, just with slightly sharper edges. And the new matte black finish is nice, but it’s not enough to make up for the lack of freshness in the design.

The biggest disappointment, however, is the lack of innovation when it comes to the camera. Sure, the new sensor is slightly larger and the telephoto lens has been upgraded to 2x optical zoom, but compared to the new cameras on the Google Pixel 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S20, the iPhone 12’s camera is lackluster.

And then there’s the issue of battery life. Apple claims that the iPhone 12 will get you up to 15 hours of video playback, but in my experience, it was closer to 10 hours. And if you’re using 5G, you can expect even less battery life.

Finally, there’s the price. The base model iPhone 12 starts at $799, which is $100 more than the base model iPhone 11. And for what? A slightly better camera and slightly faster processor? No thanks.

All in all, the new iPhone 12 is a big disappointment. If you’re looking for a new iPhone, you’re better off waiting for the iPhone 13.
