I Tried the Baby Sleep Method That’s Supposed to End All Bedtime Battles

When my daughter was born, I was exhausted. I had no idea how I was going to get through the night with a newborn and a toddler at home. I did some research and found a baby sleep method that supposedly would end all bedtime battles. The method is called the “cry it out” method.

The cry it out method is when you put your baby to bed and let them cry themselves to sleep. The theory is that babies will eventually learn to soothe themselves to sleep and will cry less and less each night.

I was skeptical but desperate, so I decided to try it. The first night was tough. My baby cried for what felt like hours. I felt so guilty and like a terrible mother. I almost gave up and went to get her, but I stuck it out.

The next night was better. She cried for less time and fell asleep on her own. I was amazed. The nights after that were even better. She started sleeping through the night and taking longer naps during the day.

I’m so glad I stuck with the cry it out method. It was tough at first, but it was worth it in the end. If you’re struggling with sleep deprivation, I recommend giving it a try.

  1. I had never heard of the “cry it out” method before, but I’m glad this mother found something that worked for her and her daughter. It’s so important to get enough sleep, both for the baby and for the parents. I can’t imagine how tough it must be to function on no sleep, so kudos to this mom for finding a solution that worked!
