I tried the ‘5second rule’ and this is what happened

We’ve all been there. You drop your slice of toast on the floor and in a moment of panic, you remember hearing somewhere that if you pick it up within five seconds, it’s still safe to eat. But is the five second rule really a thing? We decided to put it to the test.

I tried the ‘5second rule’ and this is what happened

I was seated at my kitchen table, enjoying a delicious breakfast of toast with peanut butter and jelly. I took a bite of my toast and then watched in horror as it fell to the floor. Immediately, I remembered hearing about the five second rule and decided to give it a try.

I picked up the toast and examined it for a moment before taking a big bite. It tasted a little bit like floor, but I figured it was still safe to eat.

However, within a few minutes, I started to feel nauseous. My stomach started cramping and I began to feel lightheaded. I quickly realized that the five second rule was a myth and that I had made a huge mistake.

I rushed to the bathroom and vomited everything up. It was a horrible experience and I will never again try to eat food that’s been on the floor, no matter how tempting it may be.
