I Tried mindful eating and it changed my life!

When I first heard about mindful eating, I was a bit skeptical. I mean, how could something so simple – paying attention to what I ate – really make a difference? But I was curious, so I decided to give it a try.

And I’m so glad I did! Mindful eating completely changed my relationship with food. For the first time in my life, I felt like I was in control of my eating – instead of food controlling me.

Here’s how it works:

First, you need to get rid of any distractions. That means no TV, no phone, no computer – just you and your food.

Then, you take a bite of food and pay attention to the taste, texture, and smell. Really savor it and enjoy it.

Next, you chew slowly and thoroughly, so that you can really taste the food.

Finally, you pay attention to your hunger and fullness cues. Eating slowly gives your body time to register that you’re full, so you’re less likely to overeat.

I found that mindful eating helped me to eat less – without feeling deprived. I was also able to enjoy my food more, because I was really savoring it instead of just shoveling it in.

If you’re struggling with your weight or your relationship with food, I highly recommend giving mindful eating a try. It just might change your life!
