I Taught My Dog to Use the Toilet and Now She Won’t Poop Outside!

I remember the first time I ever saw my dog poop in the toilet. I was so excited and proud of her that I immediately ran to tell my husband. “You’ll never believe it! Our dog just used the toilet!” I exclaimed.

Since then, it has been a daily occurrence. My dog will not poop outside anymore, no matter how long we wait or how many times we take her out. It’s become a bit of a nuisance, to be honest.

I don’t know exactly when or how I taught her to use the toilet. It just seemed to happen naturally. Maybe I accidentally left the bathroom door open one too many times and she saw me going to the toilet. Or perhaps she just figured it out on her own.

Whatever the case may be, I now have a dog who poops in the toilet and I don’t know how to make her stop.

I’ve tried everything I can think of. I’ve tried scolding her, rewarding her, and even taking her to the vet to see if there’s any medical reason behind her sudden change in behavior.

Nothing has worked so far and I’m starting to get desperate.

I don’t want to have to keep her locked up in the house all the time just to make sure she doesn’t poop in the wrong place. That’s not fair to her.

I’m also worried that she might start peeing in the toilet too. That would be even worse!

Do you have any advice on how to deal with this situation? I would really appreciate any help you can give.
