I refuse to wear sunscreen for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I don’t like the way it feels on my skin. It’s sticky and it makes me feel like I’m suffocating. Second, I don’t like the smell of sunscreen. It’s just too strong for me. Third, I don’t like how sunscreen interacts with my makeup. It makes my foundation look cakey and my mascara run. Fourth, I don’t like how sunscreen makes me sweat. It’s just too hot and uncomfortable. Fifth, I don’t like how sunscreen makes my skin look. It’s too shiny and it makes me look like a greaseball. Sixth, I don’t like how sunscreen feels on my lips. It’s just too drying. Seventh, I don’t like how sunscreen tastes. It’s just too bitter for me. Eighth, I don’t like how sunscreen gets in my eyes. It stings and it’s really annoying. Ninth, I don’t like how sunscreen clogs my pores. It makes my skin break out and it’s just gross. Tenth, I don’t like how sunscreen expires. It’s just another thing that I have to keep track of and it’s a pain.
I know that there are some people who will say that I’m being ridiculous and that I’m putting myself at risk by not wearing sunscreen. But, to be honest, I don’t really care. I’m comfortable with the risks that I’m taking and I’m happy with my decision. I know that I’m not going to get skin cancer from not wearing sunscreen and I’m also not going to get wrinkles. I’m just not that worried about it.
So, there you have it. Those are my reasons for why I refuse to wear sunscreen. I know that they might not make sense to some people but, to me, they make perfect sense. I’m just not a fan of sunscreen and I’m never going to wear it.
