I never would have guessed that I’d end up living in the country and making cheese for a living. It all started when I was laid off from my corporate job. I’d been working in the city for years and I was ready for a change. I’d always loved the idea of living in the country, so I decided to take the plunge.
I moved to a small town in upstate New York and bought a fixer-upper farmhouse. I had a lot of work to do to get the place livable, but it was worth it. I loved being surrounded by nature and having the space to breathe.
One of the first things I did was get some chickens. I’d always wanted to have fresh eggs, and now I had them! I also started a garden, and before long I had fresh vegetables to eat as well.
I was really enjoying the simple life, but I still needed to make some money. I’d always been interested in cheese, so I decided to start making it. I did some research and bought some equipment. It was a lot of work, but I loved it.
Now, a few years later, I’m still living in the country and making cheese. I’ve even started selling it at the farmer’s market. I’m so grateful that I made the move to the country. It was the best decision I ever made.
