I Drank Only Water for 30 Days and This is What Happened to Me
I never would have believed that something as simple as drinking only water for 30 days could have such an profound effect on my overall health and well-being. But it did. Here’s what happened.
To be honest, I didn’t really have any grandiose plans or expectations going into this experiment. I just wanted to see if I could do it, plain and simple. I’ve always been pretty good at sticking to New Year’s resolutions and other self-imposed challenges (like quitting smoking), so I figured this would be a piece of cake.
Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.
The first few days were easy enough. I didn’t really notice any difference in how I felt, except that I was perhaps a bit more thirsty than usual. By day 3 or 4, though, things started to get a bit more difficult. I had constant headaches, felt lightheaded and dizzy, and my energy levels were through the floor.
I was tempted to give up several times, but I’m glad I didn’t. Because after a week or so, these symptoms started to dissipate and I started feeling really good. My skin cleared up, I lost a few pounds, and my energy levels were through the roof.
I even started working out again (something I’d neglected for months) and was amazed at how much easier it was now that I was well-hydrated.
Needless to say, I was pretty hooked on this whole water thing by the end of the 30 days. I’ve continued drinking plenty of water ever since and have no plans to go back to my old ways.
If you’re thinking of doing something similar, I say go for it! It’s not easy, but it’s definitely worth it. Your body will thank you for it.
