How to Make Your Own Pocket-Sized Notebook

Assuming you would like a tutorial on how to make a small notebook:

Tools and Materials
To make your own pocket-sized notebook, you will need:
1. A4/ US letter size paper
2. A sharp knife
3. A cutting board
4. A bone folder or a blunt butter knife
5. A pen
6. A ruler
7. An optional decorative element (e.g. washi tape)
First, take your A4/ US letter size paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Then, use a sharp knife to cut along the fold. Next, take one of the halves and fold it in half again. Cut along this fold as well. You should now have four equal rectangles.

Now, take one of the rectangles and fold it in half again, this time folding it so the short sides meet. Once you have done this, open up the fold slightly and insert the other rectangle into the pocket you have just created. This will be the cover of your notebook.

To make the pages of your notebook, take the remaining two rectangles and fold them in half, again folding the short sides together. Once you have done this, open up the folds slightly and insert them into the cover, tucking them in so that they are flush with the edge of the cover.

To secure the pages in place, take your bone folder (or blunt butter knife) and make a crease along the spine of the notebook. Once you have done this, fold the cover over the pages and use your pen to apply pressure along the spine, holding everything in place.

Finally, decorate your notebook with washi tape or any other desired decorative element. Your pocket-sized notebook is now complete!
