Dentist fired after ‘pulling out patient’s tooth while driving on the motorway’

This is an absolutely appalling story and one which will no doubt resonate with many people who have had less than perfect experiences with their own dental care. This dentist, who has not been named, was driving on the motorway when he decided to pull out a patient’s tooth. The patient, who has also not been named, was a passenger in the car at the time.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning and it is understood that the dentist had been drinking. He is said to have pulled out the patient’s tooth while the car was travelling at 70mph. The patient is believed to have been in pain for some time before the dentist eventually stopped the car and carried out the procedure.

The patient is said to have been left bleeding from the mouth and in a great deal of pain. He was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries. It is not yet known what, if any, action will be taken against the dentist but it is hoped that this story will serve as a warning to others about the dangers of drinking and driving.
