  1. The common cold is such a pain! I always feel so drained and awful when I have one. Thankfully, there are some things that can help ease the symptoms. I always make sure to drink plenty of fluids and take lots of rest. Over-the-counter medications can also be helpful in easing congestion and sore throat. I also like to do nasal irrigation with a neti pot to help clear my nasal passages. Eating a healthy diet is also important in boosting the immune system. Finally, preventative measures like washing hands frequently and getting a flu shot are key in avoiding the cold altogether.
