Are Smartphones Making People Lonelier?

In this day and age, smartphones have become a ubiquitous part of our daily lives. They are no longer mere tools of communication, but rather, an extension of our own selves. The good news is that smartphones don’t have to make people lonelier. By taking the time to have real, face-to-face conversations with friends and family, by spending time engaging in activities that don’t involve a screen, and by setting limits on the time you spend on your phone, you can help ensure that you don’t become too isolated.

So, while smartphones may contribute to loneliness, they’re not the only factor. With a bit of effort, you can make sure that your phone doesn’t impede your relationships and that you don’t get too lonely.
