A man in his early twenties was arrested and jailed for being ‘too handsome’ after he was caught walking around the streets of a small town in central China.
The man, who has not been named, was reportedly walking around the town of Xi’an wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and a pair of sunglasses when he was stopped by police.
According to reports, the man was taken into custody after police were ‘inundated’ with complaints from local women who said they were ‘unable to concentrate’ because of his good looks.
The man was reportedly released from custody after a few hours, but it is not clear if he will face any further action.
This is not the first time that someone has been arrested for being ‘too handsome’. In 2015, a man in his twenties was arrested in the city of Jining for walking around shirtless and ‘causing a public disturbance’.
