5 things you should never say to a woman

1. “You’re not like other girls.”

When you say this to a woman, you’re immediately telling her that you think she’s different and special – in a good way. And while that may be true, it’s not exactly the most flattering thing to say. It makes her feel like she has to live up to some sort of higher standard, and that’s a lot of pressure.

2. “You’re so sensitive.”

Women are often told that they’re too sensitive – that they’re overreacting or being dramatic. But the truth is, women are often just as strong as men, if not stronger. So when you tell a woman she’s sensitive, you’re just belittling her strength and invalidating her feelings.

3. “Calm down.”

This is another way of telling a woman that she’s overreacting. It’s dismissive and patronizing, and it’ll only make her angrier.

4. “What are you so afraid of?”

This is a loaded question, and it’s one that’s often used to gaslight women. When you ask a woman this, you’re implying that she’s irrational and that her fears are unfounded. This is a dangerous thing to do, as it can make a woman second-guess herself and her instincts.

5. “You’re not like other girls.”

Once again, you’re telling a woman that she’s different and special. But this time, you’re implying that she’s different and special in a bad way. This is a backhanded compliment that’s meant to make a woman feel bad about herself. It’s insulting and hurtful, and you should never say it to a woman.
