5 things you should never say to a snake

When you see a snake, it is important to keep your cool and not say anything that might startle or agitate the snake. Here are five things you should never say to a snake:

1. “Eek!”

This high-pitched exclamation is likely to scare the snake and could cause it to strike. Plus, it’s just not a very nice thing to say to any living creature.

2. “Nice snake!”

Again, this is something that could startle the snake and is just not necessary. Snakes are not looking for compliments, so there’s no need to give them one.

3. “I’m not afraid of you!”

This might be said in an attempt to show how brave the speaker is, but it’s really not necessary. Snakes can sense fear, so saying this will only make the snake more likely to strike.

4. “I’m going to kill you!”

This is just downright mean and unnecessary. Killing snakes is not only cruel, but it can also be dangerous.

5. “Stay away from me!”

This is another statement that could startle the snake and cause it to strike. It’s best to just keep your distance and let the snake be.

  1. In general, it’s best to just keep your cool and avoid saying anything that might agitate a snake. If you do find yourself face-to-face with a snake, the best thing to do is simply walk away and leave it alone.
