If you find yourself bored during the current lockdown, don’t worry – there are plenty of things you can do to pass the time. Here are five ideas to get you started:

1. Get creative in the kitchen

One of the best things about being stuck at home is that you have more time to experiment in the kitchen. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or a total beginner, now is the perfect time to try out new recipes and hone your cooking skills. Not sure where to start? Why not try your hand at baking bread, making homemade pasta or whipping up some healthy snacks?

2. Get moving

Just because you can’t go to the gym or go for a run outside doesn’t mean you have to sit on the couch all day. There are plenty of ways to get active at home, whether it’s following along to an online workout, going for a walk around the block or simply doing some stretches in your living room. Getting your body moving will not only help to boost your mood and energy levels, but it will also help to improve your overall health.

3. Make time for yourself

One of the best things about being stuck at home is that you finally have some time for yourself. Whether it’s taking a long bath, reading your favourite book or just taking a few minutes to meditate, make sure to carve out some time each day to do something that makes you happy. You deserve it!

4. Connect with loved ones

Just because you can’t see your friends and family in person doesn’t mean you can’t stay connected. Why not set up a regular video call or write a letter to a loved one? Staying connected with the people you care about is important, especially during times like these.

5. Learn something new

Whether it’s a new language, a new skill or something else entirely, now is the perfect time to learn something new. There are plenty of resources available online, so you can learn at your own pace and in your own time. Who knows, you might just end up surprising yourself with what you’re capable of!
